UNMODIFIED !! Original spec RX-7 These are a few 2003 photos of UK-registered CPA 816Y. There are a number of features on this 1982 Savanna Rx-7 Special Edition which were not found on contemporary models of the Rx-7. Two distinctive badges are fitted, with "Savanna Rx-7 LSD" on the kerb-side wing and "SE Ltd" just behind and to the left of the hatch. The wing-mounted rear view mirrors and the special wheels are very distinctive. I have never used a cruise control before and find it something of a novelty and very clever but of doubtful usefulness. The main on/off switch for this is where the choke control usually sits with a further control on the screen washer stem. The passenger is given a foot rest Nearby there is a handy emergency flare. The interior is attractively appointed in leather. Very wisely, there are no holes in the bodywork for a radio antenna. Instead this takes the form of a very thin wire arrangement which is embedded in the windscreen glass. The 12a engine on this Savanna boasts 6-port induction |
